Aerobics Classes at the MACC
All fitness classes are FREE for members and $5.00 for guests to participate with the exception of Strut N’ Stroll and Silver Sneakers classes, which are $2.00 each for non-members. Strut & Stroll is also an additional $1.00 equipment fee which is to be paid to the instructor. Stop by the front desk for your own “Aerobics Schedule”.
Enjoy an intensive hour long class of aerobic exercise using the step bench (which is provided). It includes a warm-up, a fat burning aerobic segment, toning exercises and a cool down. Workout intensity can be adjusted by the height of the step.
The Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Fanatics achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life! The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat.
Zumba Gold uses the Zumba formula with modified moves and pacing. This form of Zumba is most suitable for active older participants and Zumba beginners.
Boot Camp class is a station to station circuit class that will give you a great full body workout. Come and push yourself to the limit.
Silver Sneakers is a class designed for the senior population, but the benefits can be enjoyed by people of all ages. If you are Medicare age and you have Geisinger or Highmark Insurance, you may be able to attend the class at no cost to you. The class is also available to all our other members.
Strut n Stroll
This is a walk party for your feet! Originally designed for the senior population, this walk-to-the-music exercise combines easy arm movements with walk and dance steps for a total body workout. Appeals to all age groups and is easy and effective for everybody. Come out for a good time—and bring a friend.
A new aerobics class that combines step aerobics with toning exercises. When you do step aerobics you are primarily working your heart and lungs for an improved cardiovascular work-out. With toning, you are also strengthening your lower and upper body muscles. *Off for the Summer*
